Surrey’s Highest Point
I woke up at 5 O’Clock in the morning for this photography series, I wanted to capture the fog coming in from the highest point in Surrey along the surrounding farmlands far below, you know those photos where the silky low hanging fog floats just above the ground? Where waves of fog seem to wash over the fields like a calm sea, unforutnately that didn’t happen this morning. I was greeted with thick fog and could barely make out shadows of early morning joggers barely fifty away, it was clear that I wasn’t going to get the shot I first intented, as is with photography a lot of the time.
I did manage to grab a shot of Leith Hill Castle (above) and later on in the morning when the fog started to dissipate I spent some time walking exploring Shere, made famous by the movie ‘The Holiday’, this quaint little village has a walking path that runs alongside the church, you pass by some fields that have lambs that are more than happy to come and say hello. The path leads onto some rolling hills and behind you the steeple of the Church is the last of the town you see before dissappearing behind the trees (as seen in the photo below).
